We hope you are and your lovely family are keeping well. We (Orna, Syeda, Katie and I) are all doing fine but we miss you lots and can't wait to see you all again!
While we are not in school, try doing a little exercise each day to keep your body fit and healthy. We also need to keep our brain healthy as well so that's why we have put together a timetable for you to follow each day. Have a go and see if you can build your brain muscle so that when we're back at school, you'll be ready to learn.
If you do have any questions or would like to hear from us or even send in your beautiful work, please email us at email@example.com. We would love to hear from you all.
Best wishes and keep healthy!
Alice, Orna, Syeda and Katie
Today, we are looking at word families. Word families are groups of words that have a common pattern, or meaning. They usually share a common root word, to which different prefixes and suffixes are added.
Create your own word families with these words: play, walk, write, give. How many different words can you create?
Today’s lesson is on money. Take a look at the different coins we use. Now, have a go at these questions:
Here's a quick riddle: I have a little house in which I live all alone. My house has no doors or windows, and if I want to go out, I must break through it. What am I? (The answer will be revealed at the end of the day...)
Lesson 3: Art
Today, it’s Art with our very own artist, Liz. Liz sent some great suggestions of drawings you can do during your time at home. So grab yourself some paper and a pencil or pen. Here is Liz’s first idea:
On the floor, maybe draw…
- a pair of shoes…yours, your dad’s…
- some toys, a basket or box
- a shirt or jacket on a peg or over the back of a chair (draw the chair too!)
Well done for working so hard today!
It’s story time with the marvellous David Walliams. Every day at 11am, David Walliams will be reading one of his stories from his World’s Worst Children stories – we’ll be posting more each day on this blog too.
Now, let your brain and body unwind and just enjoy…
We shall see you tomorrow for another great brain workout!
Remember, we would love to hear from you. So, if you would like to send your work to us or ask questions, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
(The answer to lunch time's riddle is... a chick in an egg!)
