Can you believe there is only one more week until the end of term? Obviously we'd normally celebrate the end of your time at BGFJS in style. We'd be off on some amazing trips (Southend), participate in sports day, organise a bake sale and not forgetting your precious autograph books. We are unable to give you all a 'normal' send off but we have an idea to make it as special as we possibly can.
We would like you ALL to write a very short message like you would in an autograph book and email it to us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will print your message and pass it onto the year 6 pupils in school and at home (via email).
We are also working hard to get together for you a collection of teacher autographs which we will post on the blog for you to print at home or save to your computer.
So, if you would like to receive good luck messages from your peers, which you can use in your own autograph book, please send us a short message by the end of the day. We will email you a copy of the 'autographs' once we have collated all the messages. Wouldn't it be so lovely to have a keepsake to look back at in years to come?
Come on year 6, let's make this work!
Let's see what activities we have planned for you to end the week in fine style...
9-9.30 P.E. with Joe Wicks
1st lesson: Numeracy
This week’s problems are all designed to be easily solved using bar modelling.
Don't forget to use your growth mindset strategies!
2nd lesson: Literacy
3rd lesson: Computing
To help us do this we are going to explore two games by Barefoot called Asteroid Blaster and another called The Diamond.
These games will help design, write and debug programs that accomplish goals. They will also help detect and correct errors in algorithms and programmes.
Click on the link below to explore Asteroid Blaster.
End of the day
Have a lovely weekend.
