Theme: Representational (realistic) Art compared to Abstract Art

In many abstract works we see the emotion or mood more than exact pictures of real things. The artists’ work looked futuristic, for example, Delaunay liked to paint the Eiffel Tower because he was showing he lived in modern times, so he made it look very modern and dynamic. The paintings gave an idea of how the world would look in the future.
The paintings made as he looked out of the window gave the idea of different seasons, with changing light and shade.
Those Who Are Left Behind is a sad painting of those who are gone . The Swallows is a group of birds flying over very
fast.
