Arts Council Meeting No.1

10/12/2019

The idea of starting an Arts Council in Year 5 was to allow interested pupils the chance to look at and discuss Art, to write a contribution to the school's Arts blog, maybe to volunteer to be a curator at our exhibition in the hall in July.

At our first meeting, the council members from Class 8 had these ideas:
  • Aleeza has seen the work of an amazing child artist and wants to show us some examples
  • Umair would like us to look at Picasso's cubist collages
  • Sumaya wants to search for some Art videos to talk about
  • Ayaan says, 'Cezanne's food paintings made a mess!' Will we agree or disagree with him?
  • Tahmid saw interesting images in a medieval castle as an illustration of myths
  • Yusuf sees Picasso as an inspiration
  • Riyadh has offered to be a scribe at our next meeting.
We hope to cover two of these ideas at our next meeting on 11th December. We will report back by the end of term!
