Children from Year 6 are making regular visits to Reception classes at Blue Gate Fields Infants School, to share their love of reading. On Tuesday mornings our Year 6 Reading Volunteers take some Picture Books from the library to share and enjoy with a very appreciative audience. This initiative grew out of a conversation that one of the Reading Volunteers had with Shaju, a librarian from Tower Hamlets Schools Library Service, when he took part in the BGFJ Aspiration Day. Year 6 were inspired to share the joy of reading!
