For the first time in a long while, Year 5 were able to go on a school trip! Although it was raining, we didn't mind our walk to the Genesis Cinema to meet the authors M. G. Leonard and Sam Sedgman . Together they have written 'Adventures on Trains', a new series of detective stories set on TRAINS!
They explained how they went about researching and writing the stories, and inspired us all to want to read the books, and made us wish we could have our own adventures on trains too, (and maybe our own private carriages). A highlight was the explanation of the science of the steam train, and being able to ask lots of questions at the end!
There are 3 books in the series, so look out for the books in the library.
And, there's a new one out this September. We can't wait; All aboard!
