Nasima and Sophie's Year 5 Literacy Groups had a fantastically creative time with the Costa Children's Book award winner Jasbinder Bilan. They are entering their short stories into the 2021 Tower Hamlets Creative Writing Competition. Jasbinder guided them to create a lead character for the stories. Everyone was inspired by her, and said they'd had their minds opened, and their imaginations took off. Even some people who had been reluctant, found that they really got enthusiastic and wanted to find out what happened to their character, so they had to write the story! The session was held by Zoom. The only thing that could have been better would have been to have Jasbinder herself in real life!
