What a beautiful sunny day we had to visit Greenwich Waterstones to choose our prizes! After the disappointment of snowy weather leading to the cancellation of some of our World Book Day events, including the annual Pop-Up Bookshop, the prizewinners were at last able to venture out to select their rewards. The members of the Royal Society Young People's Book Award Group also came to spend their prize money. We won third prize for our video and were the lucky recipients of £100 to spend on books! After visiting the bookshop, we went to gaze across the River Thames at the Isle of Dogs, and to work out in which direction Blue Gate Fields was, before heading back with our bags full of books.
