Class 3 were very excited to go to the Children's Bookshow at the Old Vic Theatre on Friday 20th September. They had a marvellous time watching the amazing author-illustrator, Neal Layton. He talked about how he created his illustrations, and what inspired him. Neal read the story 'Stanley's Stick', about a boy with a great imagination, and also read his new book, 'The Tree'.
On Monday 23rd there was even more fun to come: Neal came to visit Class 3 in their own classroom! Together they created collages, inspired by the natural world. Neal also drew them their very own Stanley, with his stick.
What's more, every child in Class 3 received a signed copy of Neal's book, 'The Tree'. Something for them to treasure forever!
