Year 5 had the great privilege of seeing the wonderful poet, performer, author, academic, and media personality Michael Rosen perform as part of ‘The Children’s Bookshow’, at The Shaw Theatre. Michael is a great entertainer, and had everybody laughing, and joining in with some of his best-known poems, including the famous 'Chocolate Cake'. Michael also gave us some great hints and tips for writing our own poems. All the children were given a FREE copy of one of Michael's poetry books to take home, and treasure for ever! Michael was very ill with the COVID-19 virus, and this was his first performance for children since then. It was so inspiring, and we had a marvellous time!
