Tower Hamlets Book Award 2015

16/12/2015

A group of Year 6 students took part in the Tower Hamlets Book Award 2015. They read all 6 of the shortlisted titles, and voted for their favourites. Eight of them represented us at the Finale, which was held at Swanlea School. Their performance was about Sam Gayton’s ‘Lilliput’, which was also our overall number one choice. To our delight, Blue Gate Fields Juniors were commended on their performance by Sam Gayton himself, who was present at the finale. The eventual winner was ‘Smart’ by Kim Slater. We had a great time, and then the whole group presented a marvellous assembly in the school hall.

Wow, this was so much fun to watch! I love all the details you've put in from the book; your storytelling is so loud and clear; and your costumes and props are incredible. Well done :-)

I'll be updating my website in the new year, and I'll definitely post a link to this page and your brilliant production!!

KEEP READING (that's an order)

Sam
