The competition was very tough, and entrants had to write a statement to say why they thought they made a good library assistant.
At Blue gate Fields Juniors we are very lucky to have some excellent library helpers, who work almost every lunchtime, and have become really knowledgeable about the library and its routines. One of those library assistants, was successful in her application. She was a runner-up, and received her certificate, and £10 amazon voucher, from Gillian Harris, the head of THSLS, at an assembly in school. Sue, our librarian, was very proud of her!
Sue says, “She is friendly and enthusiastic in her work. She doesn’t need to be constantly supervised, and shows initiative when helping in the library. She has been working in the library every lunchtime since the Autumn term, and has shown great commitment. When others have been unavailable to come, she has always showed up!”
