It is always really interesting to see our students doing different staff for charities and volunteers with the aim to help people. One of our Year 6 pupils has run with her family in the "Race for Life" to help people with Cancer and try to improve their life. She is telling us her feelings about it and we would like to share with everyone and encourage our community to do any volunteer or charity work.
'Last Saturday I did a 5000m (5 km) run. I ran for cancer, to help cure cancer faster. My mum and brother joined me in helping to beat cancer. It took us just over 30 minutes to complete the run. I ran for my cousin's Nan, my uncle and Blue Gate Fields Junior School. I was given a medal with "this is beating cancer" and "race for life" carved into it.'
