Anti-Bullying Ambassadors |
Library Assistants |
Trained through the Diana Award and the Anti-bullying Alliance, our ambassadors have worked alongside pupils from other schools to learn how to offer support and guidance for pupils who are experiencing difficulties, particularly in the playground. They serve as positive role-models for all of our pupils.
This programme aims to enhance early intervention and prevention of low-level mental health and wellbeing issues amongst pupils. There is always an adult available to support the children too. The Anti-Bullying Ambassadors are to be found in the playground. The Kindness Wall tells other children who they are. The Anti-bullying Ambassadors receive supervision from Nasima Khanom, our PHSE Lead, with their roles to ensure that the worries of other children are not carried with them through the day. Where necessary more concerning incidences are referred to the Senior Leadership Team. Pupils understand the STOP 1 ( Several Times On Purpose), and STOP 2 (Start Telling Other People) approach to preventing and identifying potential bullying. Please read our Anti-Bullying Policy for more detailed information. |
Our trained and award winning library assistants are on hand to support pupils in the library. With the guidance of our full-time librarian, children are offered friendly advice and book recommendations. The library assistants understand the library and how it works - they are the experts!
