Science Day was a huge success with Year 4 working alongside Year 6, and Year 5 working with Year 3 to manage and teach science investigations. It was sticky, slimy, whizzing, banging and popping good fun with lots of learning of course!

Thank you to the School Council who have organised events to raise money.

We have a growing coin trail! Will it reach the end of the corridor?

For Red Nose Day 2019 Blue Gate Fields Junior School has sold 400 red noses to raise money for the charity. We have worn them in the classrooms and find that they are particularly helpful when reading!

On Friday Brick Lane Books set up a pop-up book shop in the library. Children from all year groups visited to receive their World book Day book and to browse the books on sale. Lucky prize winners were able to spend their vouchers!

The School Council judged classroom door book displays using a range of criteria including:

• has it got the  'Wow Factor!'
  
• how much was pupils work?
  
• how much had the teacher helped?

Class 12 were the winners with their Wild Boy display which drew the judges into the classroom to see the circus inside! Lucky class 12 will be going on a trip to hear Michael Rosen speak; they are also invited to afternoon tea in the library.
