Breakfast Club members, children and adults, wrote postcards to the government to tell them how important a healthy breakfast is to their learning. We have received a thank you letter from Magic Breakfast. We are an ambassador school for the charity and support them to promote the message, 'No child too hungry to learn'.

Thank you so much for taking part in Magic Breakfast’s recent campaign. With support from Blue Gate Fields Junior School, and other schools across England, 1,200 children wrote to the Prime Minister to ask him to step up his support for school breakfasts. We handed in these postcards to 10 Downing Street on 7 November. You can read more about the hand in and see photos here. Your support, via the postcards, has helped us raise awareness of the scale of child hunger and position school breakfasts as a proven solution, amongst parliamentarians and amongst the public.
Keeping school breakfasts on the political agenda is now more important than ever during this election period!
