It was difficult to decide, as each class had put in so much hard work, and effort. All of the displays were excellent, in different ways.
The judges had to consider:
• Wow factor
• Children’s input
• Teacher input
• What they really liked about the display
They gave a rating of 1 to 10 in each category, and then they chose their ‘Top 4’. After a discussion to reach a consensus, the winner was Class 9. Their display was based on ‘The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe’, by C. S. Lewis, and they had an amazing wardrobe, with a door into ‘Narnia’!
The 1st prize was a trip, on World Book day itself, to the Genesis theatre, for the Tower Hamlets Schools’ Library Service event with the author Chitra Soundar, and also Afternoon Tea in the library, with Sue!
