At the end of last year, Year 3 put on a wonderful performance based on the Ancient Greek myths. They were fascinated about the music and how it was created. We had two amazing musicians, Michael and Emma Hetherington who created various sound effects and tracks for our incredible storytelling production using the keyboard and piano!! In our new RE topic, the Year 3s are exploring what different people believe about God. In this lesson, the children were learning what Christians believe about God. They explored the Creation story and the story of Christmas and began to notice similarities and differences between other religious beliefs. The Year 3s have now begun their new History topic for the Spring term- Romans in Britain. They have been using maps to locate the countries that were conquered by the Roman empire. The year 3 students worked really hard in the final week of the Autumn term to put on an incredible performance based on the Ancient Greek myths that they have been researching in History. They spent a fantastic morning singing and performing in front of the year 2s and 4s with the help of Anna (Drama teacher). |
