This term in Science, year 3s are investigating what types of food snails eat. They predicted that snails would eat healthy food such as lettuce and leaves because this exists in nature, and that they would not munch on chocolate and crisps because these types of food might kill them. Plus, snails do not have teeth like ours to munch on harder food! In numeracy this morning, we used a Venn diagram to sort capital letters. We noticed there were more letters with straight lines than curved lines. This then led us to a discussion about lines of symmetry. How many of the letters in the alphabet have one line of symmetry and are there any with more than one line of symmetry?
