Year 3 have been learning about how to recognise bullying and what to do if they see it. They have made some fantastic posters to help people know what to do if they see bullying and how to help people who are feeling sad. As part of our Geography learning about rainforests, we compared the climates of London and Manaus in Brazil. We drew on our Maths learning to create bar charts comparing the amount of rainfall in Manaus and London over four months of the year. Here we are in action! Year 3 have been enriching their Geography and History learning through immersive experiences. Using Now Press Play, we have entered the Amazon Rainforest to learn how and why the rainforest is being destroyed and have also time travelled back to Pompeii, Italy, in 79 AD to revise our understanding of earthquakes and volcanoes. Lots of us have commented on how real the experiences feel and have been finding our sessions very exciting! Here are some photos of our sessions in action.
Year 3 created their own Roman masks in their art lesson with Julia. They used halving and symmetry to create the unique look. Year 3 have been busy practising their life drawing skills with our artist-in-residence, Linda. Have a look at some of their beautiful drawings! |
