Comparing rainfall

In Geography, Class 3 were comparing the rainfall of London and Manaus (Amazon rainforest- Brazil). They found that even though it rains often in London, that in rains in Manaus much, much more!

We have been practising how to say certain numbers and colours in Spanish.  This is currently our favourite song to sing every week during our Spanish lesson.

The year 3's have been enjoying their library sessions every week. They are practising fluency in their reading and were excited to create a mask based on a character from one of Anthony Browne's books.

Deforestation

As part of our Geography topic about rainforests, we have been researching what deforestation is, why it happens and what its effects are on wildlife and humans. Yesterday, we worked in groups to create mindmaps to present our research.

Year 3 have been busy working with our artist-in-residence, Linda, to begin making observational drawings of baby bottles and toys. We are very proud of our drawings so far!

Year 3 have been busy taking part in The Big Ask, a survey by the Children's Commissioner in England. The survey was asking us about what is important to our future and what we feel might be holding us back.
