Year 3 were excited to have the opportunity to see and act in a play which was performed by a theatre group. The pupils learnt four songs which they performed with the actors from the group. The play was about a selfish giant that would not let anyone play in his very beautiful garden which was full of the most delicious peaches and oranges. One day some children came to play in the garden which made the giant very angry and furious. He shouted and screamed at the children and they ran away and hid in the garden. The giant realised that one of his amazing trees was frozen. This made the giant very upset. Then one child came out and said, " I can help you save your tree". The giant was so pleased that the child was going to help him save the tree. As the child was playing around and singing, the ice began to melt and the tree was brought back to life. This made the giant, and Year 3, realise how important it is to share! From then on, the giant allowed the children to come and play in the garden all of the time. |
