Year 3 have been making Christmas cards to give out to members of the community inspired by the London skyline. In Art today, we combined our learning about colour and brushstrokes to make paintings of fruits. In groups, we researched different Ancient Greek legacies before presenting to the rest of the class and finally deciding which we thought was most important and why. We have been busy celebrating Christmas! Yesterday, we met Father Christmas and had a delicious Christmas lunch with crackers! Year 3 are practising fluency to improve our pace, expression, smoothness, expression and volume when reading. After marking up our phrase boundaries, echo reading and chorus reading the first verse, the children had a go at marking on their own phrase boundaries and expression before practising performing in pairs. |
