In the spring term, Class 2 went to the British Museum to learn more about the Ancient Greeks. Our journey wasn’t long at all. When we arrived there, we saw the ionic columns on the front of the building and the egg and darts. We saw that the Greek columns had three drums. All of us went to see the marble sculpture called the Elgin Marbles and had to look for different things. Linda told us the story of Athena. She was born out of Zeus’ head fully formed! We saw Athena in the marble and also oxen. After that, we went to see the Parthenon temple and lots of Greek vases. We spent time drawing some in our sketchbooks. Some children drew the Parthenon temple with Linda. We had so much fun. Comments are closed.
