28/5/2020

Good morning Year 3! We hope you are all having an amazing half-term with your families.

Here are some more fun activities that you can do at home over the half term.
Remember, if you would like to write or share your work with us, email us at: year3@bgfjs.org (remember to write your name!).

To stay fit, why not continue doing some PE with Joe Wicks?
If you enjoy reading Claude by Alex T.Smith, download this activity pack.

Activity 2

The amazing J.K.Rowling has released 2 chapters from her new book The Ickabog. Click here to read the new chapters.

There's more! J.K. Rowling is inviting you to help illustrate The Ickabog for her. You need to read the new chapters and use your imagination to illustrate. Your parents can help you enter and your work might get published in her book. How exciting! Entries to the competition will open on Friday 29th May 2020 and the competition will close at 6pm on Friday 17th July 2020. Click on the image to find out more on how to enter the competition.

Activity 3

Make a Robot from a cardboard box and using materials around your house. Click here for some hints and tips.

We hope you've really enjoyed today's activities.

Although it's half-term this week, remember to try and aim to read 20-30 minutes each day and get someone to ask questions about what you have read.  Go to Active Learn (Bug Club) or read a book.  Remember, reading a magazine or newspaper counts too!

If you have any questions or would like to send your lovely work for us to see, email us at: year3@bgfjs.org

Enjoy the rest of your day.
