Did you know? Vertebrates are insects that have their skeleton on the outside of their body such as spiders, ladybirds and beetles.
In Science this term, we have been learning about living things and their habitats. We know different plants and animals live in a variety of places but we wanted to see for ourselves! Yesterday, Year 4 went on a exciting trip to the Wide Horizons Centre in Eltham. We had great fun exploring different habitats. We compared woodland and pond habitats by observing, collecting and classifying the creatures we found. We had lots of fun pond dipping when we caught insects in our nets. We did log lifting to look at the the various insects that were hiding beneath the logs. In the afternoon we used clay to create our own vertebrates that we had seen on the day. Did you know?
