Here is today's timetable:
PE with Joe Wickes
Watch the video on White Rose Home learning - year 3 - Week 11: Number: Multiplication and Division LESSON 2 (divide by 3) to remind you of the different methods to help you do this - remember to pause the video when it asks you a question to give you some thinking time. Watch it more than once if you would like.
Joke: Why didn't the skeleton cross the road?
Answer: He didn't have the guts! Hahaha!
Remember, if you have any questions or would like to send your work for us to see or tell us funny jokes, email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org (don't forget to include your name on the email so we know who it's from!)
For today's phonics lesson we are going to review the UR sound. Watch the video below and have a go.
• Write endings for the Fronted Adverbials. Challenge yourself to write two different endings for each.
3. Choose your favourite poem.
• The fronted adverbials come from these four poems:
- Windy Nights
- The Sandpiper
- Duck’s Ditty
• Read each of the poems out loud. Decide which is your favourite.
Share your favourite poem with a grown-up.
Explain to them why you like it best and find out from them which is their favourite of the four poems.
Riddle: We come in a set. We can dash or pour. If we’re too much, the serving is ruined. If we’re held back, the course is flat. What are we?
(The answer will be revealed at the end of the day...)
When we solve computer programming problems we need to make choices about what to do and what order to do them in. Sometimes the problem is so big or complex that we don’t know where to start.
Decomposition is when we break a problem down into smaller parts to make it easier to tackle.
What might you do? Where would you start? Can you break this solution down into 4 steps?
Remember you should be aiming to read for at least 20-30 minutes every day, either on Active Learn (Bug Club) or with a book.
Have a lovely weekend and see you all on Monday for another week of fun learning.
(The answer to lunch time’s riddle is…SALT AND PEPPER!)
