Good morning Year 4! It's the penultimate day of term - that means it is one day before the last day of term. We hope you have a great day today, let us know how you get on by emailing year4@bgfjs.org

PE

Start the day with a yoga session. In this lesson you'll find yourself making lots of different animal poses - which is your favourite one? Grab some water and let's get started.

Literacy

1. Complete a Crosspoints puzzle
• Read Crosspoints (page 2). Fill in the grid with words and then check your score.
• Use the other Crosspoint Grids (page 3) yourself to try to beat your score OR challenge someone else to play the game and see how they do.
Crosspoints
2. Complete a Crossword
• Complete the Minibeast Crossword (page 4). Read the clues and write your answers in the crossword grid. The across clues go in the horizontal boxes and the down clues go in the vertical boxes.

• Choose either the Pet Crossword (page 5) or the Transport Crossword (page 6) and complete it.
You could challenge yourself to complete both!

Well done! You can check your answers at the end of the pack. You can find more crosswords to solve at this website:

Numeracy

Today you are going to learn about finding area by counting squares.

Start dancing and moving with Kurty Swift and Unkle TC, AKA HomeBros with this song about area, perimeter and shapes. From Super Movers, BBC Teach - click on the picture on the right.

Now read the rest of the information on BBC Bitesize about finding the area then complete the activities at the bottom of the website.

When you have finished, check your answers - remember, mistakes help us learn!

Spanish

For our last Spanish lesson of the year, I would like to invite you and your families to make a healthy, easy recipe. There is nothing I love more than having Guacamole for a picnic! Invite your parents to listen in on this lesson or to write down the ingredients!

First let’s just listen to this song about making guacamole. Practise the song, maybe you can sing along as you try the recipe!!

These are the lyrics and what they mean to help you follow along!

Story time

You have made it to the end of the penultimate day of term - well done! Now it's time to sit back, relax and listen to part 3 of George's Marvelous medicine.
