Here is today's home learning for anyone that still needs to self-isolate at home.
You don't need to do this if you are back in school.
Lesson 1 - Maths
Starter: Practise rounding
Let's recap our learning from yesterday.
We need to count in 5s to see how many groups of 5 are hiding in 35.
Sometimes, we will need to solve a division of larger amounts.
It would take us a long time to count up in single jumps of 5 so we need to make larger jumps.
Instead of starting with one jump of 5, let's do 10 jumps of 5. We know that 5 x 10 = 50.
Now we can add up all the jumps of 5 to see how many 5s were hiding in 95.
10 jumps + 4 jumps + 4 jumps + 1 jump = 19 jumps of 5 altogether.
Now, it's your turn! Email your teacher at email@example.com if you would like help.
Activity 2: Spend 15 minutes practising your times tables on Times Tables Rockstars.
Activity 3: Spend 15 minutes on Mathletics practising your maths skills.
Lesson 2 - Literacy
Starter: Practise using expanded noun phrases
