Maths
Lets warm up
Today you are going to practice dividing by 1 and itself.
Watch the video on White Rose Home learning - year 4 - Week 11: Number: Multiplication and Division LESSON 1 (divide by 1 and itself) to remind you of the different methods to help you do this - remember to pause the video when it asks you a question to give you some thinking time. Watch it more than once if you would like.

Remember to also spend 30 minutes completing activities on Mathletics as well as practicing times tables on Times Tables Rock Stars.
Break
Time for a brain break. Go grab yourself a drink and talk to someone about how you’re doing! Remember to wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds before getting something to eat or after going to the toilet!
Joke: What did the left eye say to the right eye?
Answer: Between us, something smells!
Remember, if you have any questions or would like to send your work for us to see or tell us funny jokes, email us at: year4@bgfjs.org (don't forget to include your name on the email so we know who it's from!)

Remember to also spend 30 minutes reading books and answering questions on Active Learn Primary. If you don't have access to a computer, remember, reading a magazine or newspaper counts too!
Lunch
It’s time to relax. First things first, remember to wash your hands with soap for 20 seconds before you eat! What will you be devouring for lunch today? Something mouth-watering and deliciously healthy?
Riddle: I am light and seem to have no substance at all. But even the strongest person in the world can’t hold me for very long. What am I?
(The answer will be revealed at the end of the day...)

History
Today, you are going to continue looking at what happened next in British history. This week we will look at more legacies the Vikings left behind, in addition to place names that we looked at last week.
Last week we looked at place names containing a Viking word, which was a legacy left behind by the Vikings. Additionally, Archaeological remains and language were also legacies left by the Vikings.
Write a short paragraph using everything you have learnt about the Viking legacy from last week and this week's lesson. Use the key vocabulary and the sentence starter to help you.
Story time
You've worked hard today and now it's time to sit back and relax for another story "The Proudest Blue" written by Olympic Medallist Ibtihaj Muhammad and illustrated by Hatem Aly. Enjoy this time listening to the story with your siblings and parents.
Remember you should be aiming to read for at least 20-30 minutes every day, either on Active Learn (Bug Club) or with a book.
