We investigated air resistance, human force and air pressure when we learnt about how to launch a rocket mouse. We discovered that the more force we used to squeeze the bottle, the higher the mouse will go. The bigger the bottle, the higher the rocket mouse will go. Year 5 predicted that when there is a big bottle, the rocket mouse will not go higher because the air will travel around the bottle and sometimes the mouse has already launched and the air is still leaving the bottle! The prediction was right when not such a hard squeeze was given but if the force was greater then the rocket went higher. If the rocket mouse was too big, it did not fly at all!
