We have been having a wonderfully creative time making music in Class 9. Our music teacher has brought us lots of instruments to try so that we can explore making different rhythms and sounds. Each group has composed a piece of music or rhythm on their own using instruments such as keyboards, ukuleles, djembe drums and other percussion. Class 7 had an exciting first day back after the half term as we headed out on a trip to the Royal Academy. We were very lucky as we were given a guided tour of Jasper Johns' exhibition, allowing us to ask questions about and look carefully at his work. We then had the opportunity to create our own artwork and we used stencils and paint to create a piece that was influenced by the artist.
The day was a wonderful opportunity to visit an art gallery and engage with an exhibition. We were especially proud of the compliments we got on our behaviour- staff at the Royal Academy were impressed by our manners and politeness. |
