Battersea Cats and Dogs

Class 9 went to the Battersea Cats and Dogs Home.  We met the author Jaqueline Wilson and she signed our books, including the school's copy of Paws and Whiskers. We had the opportunity to visit the Battersea Cats and Dogs Home because one of the pupils in year 5 won a national prize, and the prize was the visit!  We met a few of the workers at Battersea with their pets, including 14 weeks old Elsie, who did a few cool tricks like walking on her owner’s feet! We also met two teeny baby pugs and not forgetting Jaqueline Wilson’s dog, Jackson. She told us stories of her two cats. We enjoyed our day at Battersea and we hope to visit again.
