The Spirit of Nature - Storyteller Assembly

Year 5 worked with the storyteller, Anna Conomos, to recreate the traditional Mexican tale of ‘The Woman who Outshone the Sun’, or ‘La Mujer que Brillaba aún más que el Sol’. They called their story ‘The Spirit of Nature’, and worked together to write the scripts, and songs, which they weaved together in their performance. Sometimes they sang in English, and sometimes in Spanish! They collaborated with our music teacher, Michael, as they acted, sang, and danced to bring the story to life. Year 5 delivered a strong message of tolerance and understanding in this shared creative piece, which was enjoyed by the performers and the audience in a special assembly.
