Today is National Space Day, which is celebrated every year on the first Friday of May. We know that lots of you really enjoyed exploring space in school last term and lessons even left some of you wondering how someone becomes an astronaut...
Let's hear from Chris Hadfield, who has been to space three times and was commander of the 35th mission on the International Space Station.
2. Handwriting practice
Here are some common words, which have horizontal joins in them.
Have a go at copying out the words in your best joined Jarman handwriting.
Use a pen or a sharp pencil.
1, 2, 3, 4 are your feet flat on the floor?
5, 6, 7, 8 is your back nice and straight?
9, 10, 11, 12 is your pen/pencil correctly held?
We've been really happy to see that many of you are using you best Jarman in all the work you send to us. Next week, we will be celebrating some of the best Jarman on the blog so make sure you keep it up!
Before you go, here's a video of Benjamin Zephaniah performing his poetry:
Enjoy your weekend and remember to email us with any work or questions!
