Lesson 1 - Maths
Let's begin today's session by taking a look at today's advent calendar window.
Before we start any challenge, it is always helpful to remind ourselves that all great learners go into the Learning Pit!
Now that you have got your brain warmed up, we are going to have a go at a Christmas challenge called 'Clever Santa'.
Once you have read the puzzle carefully, you can have a go at solving it. It might be helpful to draw sketches or jot things down. Here are some questions to get you started:
Lesson 3 - Looking back and looking forwards
We are coming up to the end of 2020 and what a year it has been! This afternoon we would like you to spend some time reflecting on what the year has been like for you.
Here are some pictures to remind you of some of the wonderful things you have got up to this year. While you take a look, ask yourself these questions:
We would now like you to sketch a large jar on a piece of paper. Make sure the image fills your whole piece of paper.
Then, label it, 'Thankful Jar'. Inside your sketch, write down all the things that you are thankful for this year. For example, 'I am thankful that I have been able to spend lots of time with my family.'

2020 has taught me ...
I have learnt ...
On a separate piece of paper, we would now like you to sketch a second jar and label it, 'Hopeful jar'.
Inside your sketch, write down all the things that you are hopeful for in 2021. For example, 'I hope that I will be a kind friend to everyone in my class.'
I hope that ...
I am looking forward to ...
