Lunch - Time for some brain food!

Wash your hands for 20 seconds and help yourself to a delicious, healthy lunch. Ask your family what they have been doing this morning while you have been busy learning.

Lesson 3 - Science

We are going to continue learning about forces. Last week we revised our understanding of gravity and learnt about air and water resistance. Today we are going to continue learning about air resistance.

Watch the clip below that demonstrates air resistance.
Have a go at testing air resistance yourself. You will need two sheets of paper that are exactly the same size. Crumple one sheet into a ball and keep the second sheet flat. Drop both from the same height.

Which fell to the ground first?

Explain what happened and why.

End of the day - Listen to Harry Potter

That's the end of today's home learning. Well done for working hard and putting in lots of effort. Remember to email photos of your work to year5@bgfjs.org so that your teachers can see what you have achieved.

Good afternoon!
