Our last Science Day in Year 6...BUT we certainly made the most of it, conscientiously carrying out our duties as experiment managers and having lots of fun trying out the Year 6 and Year 4 experiments. Science morning came to a VERY exciting end too with Professor Mark carrying out his 'Diet Coke and Mentos' test! What a sight! Thank you to Tatiana for organising such an interesting and engaging day.
As part of our Living Things learning, Jackie's science group have been studying the work of the artist Levon Biss and the way in which he takes thousands of close-up photographs of invertebrates and puts them together to create one enormous, enlarged image. We have been so amazed by his work and the detail of the invertebrates in his images that we decided to create our own close-up observational drawings of different living things. Some of these we did independently, but we also collaborated as part of a group to create close-up drawings of different parts of the same insect and then put them back together to create one ENORMOUS insect! Take a look at our work...and our concentration faces!
