Macbeth Performance Workshop

10/11/2020

Last week year six were treated to a performance workshop based on William Shakespeare’s play, Macbeth, led by the Young Shakespeare Company.

The children were able to learn about the play by getting into role as the different characters and act out various scenes. They also had the opportunity to learn and perform well-known lines from the play such as, “Double, double; toil and trouble; fire burn and cauldron bubble …” as chanted by the three witches!

Meanwhile Julia, our resident artist, painted pictures of how she imagined the various scenes of the play.

Dia de Los Muertos

10/11/2020

Class 10 have been learning about the Mexican festival, the day of the dead that is celebrated every 1st and 2nd of November.  They learnt about the special traditions Mexicans follow to celebrate and remember the lives of their loved ones who have passed away . They built these 'altar de muertos', can you identify what are some important elements they included?
