National Democracy Week

​The pupils in Salma’s literacy group were invited to participate in Tower Hamlets’ National Democracy week. Year 6 were extremely privileged to be able to visit the Town Hall, explore the council chamber and meet with the Speaker of the Council. The visit involved children learning about local democracy and how decisions which affect them, are made. The most memorable part of the day was when the children were given the opportunity to participate in a mock debate. Passion, dynamism and persuasion were just some of the qualities our pupils demonstrated!
