The power of debate!

Inspired by the words and wisdom of the teenagers taking part in the National Youth Debate, Jackie and Salma's literacy group have been honing up their debating skills and discussing a range of controversial issues such as foxhunting, the return of the cane to the classrooms and whether or not children under 13 should be allowed screen time. The children's development in their confidence, listening and ability to argue and persuade has been amazing to watch and it is something that we will continue to work on over the next two terms.
