Break

It is now time for a break. Take some time to have a rest, talk to someone in your house and get a drink of water.

2nd lesson: Literacy

Picture
Today we are going to look at Marcia Williams' book 'Children Who Changed the World'.
Follow the link below to go to authorfy.com and ask your parents or carer to sign up to the website for free.

1) Watch the videos:
-An introduction to 'Children Who Changed the World'.
-What is a right?
-The inspiration behind 'Children Who Changed the World'.
-A reading from 'Children Who Changed the World'.

2) Watch Marcia's Writing challenge. In the video, she gives you the challenge of writing about your favourite right.
She invites you to write as though you were explaining to someone who knows nothing about rights. Explain what a right is, what some of the different rights are and what your particular right means to you. You can also explain what it would be like and how you would feel if you ever lost that right.

Follow the instructions and the explanations in the videos to help you with your writing.

Lunch

Time to go get some fuel for your body and brain to keep you healthy!

3rd Lesson: Art

What is Pop Art? Watch the video below to find out.
Andy Warhol is one of the most famous artists involved in the Pop Art movement. Follow the link below to learn more about his art.

Now follow the link below to create artwork inspired by Andy Warhol. Either design your own soup can or make selfie artwork. You don't need a phone to create the selfie artwork, you can use a mirror to draw your own self portrait, or choose  someone in your house to pose for you!
