Chris has been to space three times and was commander of the 35th mission on the International Space Station in 2013. Astronauts spend some time self-isolating before going on space missions to ensure that they do not get sick before going into space. They often spend many months away from their family and friends, so it can sometimes get a bit lonely.

1st lesson: numeracy
2nd lesson: Literacy
Write down your first impressions, responding to the questions below:
- - What do you see? Here are sentence starters to help you:
- What do you think?
-Do you think it is real or imagined?
- Does it remind you of anything you have seen before?
- What questions does it raise for you?
- Using your knowledge of other stories, you have read, or films or television programmes you have seen, consider what kind of story this might be.
- What predictions do you have? To help your prediction, think about:
-What does the image suggest about what might happen in the story?
-Where do you think the story might take place?
-Who do you think the characters might be? Why?
Tomorrow, we will share a short extract to go with this image.
Imagine you have just turned invisible. Can you draw the first thing you would do (sensible choices please!)?
