Good Morning Year 6!
Remember to send any work to us at year6@bgfjs.org
We look forward to seeing photographs of your work. We'd love to hear from you.
One other thing that might interest you, we recently received an email from Zena (our chess teacher) who wishes you all well and suggested you might want to try an online chess website called ChessKid. ChessKid is a website and app that gives children access to interactive lessons, videos, puzzles, and a safe environment in which to play chess online. Parents can sign you up for an account which you will be able to use for free until 20th July 2020. Have a look at the YouTube clip below.

We have been looking at the Himalayas and mountain landscapes in Geography, and have learned about how humans use mountains and what they need to help them survive a mountain climate. Mountaineers will also need to navigate their way to the top of the mountains.
They will need map reading skills.
We are going to recap our knowledge of finding a 4-figure grid references on a map.
Maps are divided into grids to help us describe the location of something more specifically and accurately.
Each box in the grid is numbered.
